This summer, I decided to dive into a few Hindi series - It was after the recommendation of my friend that I finally caught up on Mirzapur too. One of the recommendations of his that I completed was "Paatal Lok", and no content I've ever watched has invigorated me to leave my blog niche aside and talk about an adult crime series more than Paatal Lok.  The show starts off with four people, that are accused to being culprits of being involved in a plan to murder a popular news journalist. Once arrested, our cop - and the main character of the show, Hathi Ram Chaudary, along with his junior, Ansari, try to solve the case. However, after minimal progress on paper, the case is taken away from them and is handed over to CID, which sees potential and turns what'd rather be a small story to a terrorist conspiracy - which the news ...

The inspiration for this blog started from an advertisement I saw for a new product from a company known as "orchid.ai", the advertisement went something like this :- The startup Orchid introduced its personal assistant with a now-viral video, following a woman whose partner has forgotten their anniversary. After she tells Orchid what happened, the assistant contacts him, books a dinner reservation, arranges a flower delivery, and keeps her updated on his progress. At the end, the video poses a perfect make-up anniversary date. Ideally, you'd expect it to be a feel-good video, but there's a huge discomfort you feel when you try to interpret the impact of the ad, and what it tries to imitate and replace.
